my friend is getting a PC with an integrated graphics card, my question is will it run battlefield 2? here are the specs.... In a word - no. This is from a previous post (so there have been some changes). I'll be honest I dont know much about Radeon i have the luxury of using and selling only NVidia. I have seen BF2 run on a 128 mb on board graphics (not the best I might add) but the first rule of thumb I run by is if it is going to be used for games then buy and seperate graphics card to be sure Also Michael just a point not being rude but those stats from EA are misleading, they say it will not run on anything under and I can prove them wrong and have told them and showed them, the reason why they do this is to help boost the sales on video cards. thats EA for ya No offence to you or EA Never completely trust the manual When it came out customers were coming in all worked up because they had a 5200 or 5500 so I showed them that it even runs on a 5200.

It will run BF2 on fair settings, however discreet video cards are the norm unless you are a mediocre gamer and you hardly get around to newer games.

They do it because the lower end cards will be more problematic. I saw posts where some people with a 5500 could run the game and others could not. If they are not relatively confident that all versions of a particular model of card will run the game (without any issues) they will not support it. I work for a software company and the need to test on different operating systems, processors, memory configurations, networks is a huge burden. Will our software run with 1/2 of the recommended RAM? Absolutely! But, that will increase testing and there will be a small percentage of users who may have issues. It's not worth the added support calls and bad customer relations to reduce the requirements. That doesn't mean we are in collusion with the memory manufacturers to get people to buy more memory. it dosnt matter how good your system is for the most part as long as you have atleast 512 ram and more than 1.6ghz computer if you dont have a great graphics card... I have a radeon x300 and i have to run the game on full low settings to get a no lag experience... this is on teh 64 player maps though.... offline i can play on medium settings and 100% view distance with no lag... JUST MAKE SURE U HAVE A GOOD GRAPHICS CARD !!!

Will a Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT be good with Battlefield 2??? the other specs are: 1GB ram (2x512), 3GHz pentium 4, windows XP proffesional.
