Hey every one. I have prob that i have been trying to fix but i have limited knowledge with computers. I am a BIG Call of Duty Fan. I have COD and CODUO. My sisters got a virus on or computer but we could not get all are memory deleated so they just went and found virus and took it out. When I got my computer back i tryed to play COD, it opend into game menu i pressed play and it did not start. I tryed agian and it still did not start. I did the same With CODUO and same thing happened. I went a look for the file in add/remove programs but it was not there. I then went and looked for it im my compuer and could not find file. I checked every file to make sure the name of file was not changed. So i tryed to uninstall COD on start menu but it would not open. I tryed same thing with reinstall but that would not open. I dod not know what to do. Could some of you help me with this problem?

This is one of the unfortunate times that formatting and reinstalling Windows was probably what should have been done in the first place when whoever worked on your computer removed the virus. Sounds like you have a lot of data randomly deleted or corrupted.

If you don't want to do that, you need to remove all traces of COD from your system, including the install directory and registry. If that doesn't work, your OS has been damaged, and you will be forced to backup your data, reformat, and reinstall windows.

Use it or some other good AV if you weren't when this happened!

i highly doubt that your pc contains full of adwares, spywares, and craps like that now since you dont have anti-virus. you need to go to some anti-virus website, like symantec.com or mcafee.com, and scan your computer there for free. after that, it will tell you how many infestions are in your PC. find them, then delete them, but some worm/virus cant delete easily. if you are stuck, then i suggest you backup all the saved games. then reformmat the PC, and say, Thanks to you, sister!

Well you see i have norton but it can't take out some virus. We will only bring in comp to get it sweeped if are computer is really f'd up. But we can't do that because my sister has all of here pic's on it and will kill me if i deleat them so i can't reinstall xp or any thing like that, I need to know if there is another way that i can still fix it without deleating everything.

if you have CD burner, then gather all the things you need and put it in 1 folder then burn it before you reformmat the PC.
