Hi, got a really strange one here.
Just loaded Colin McRae 2005. Loaded up no probs a quick blast round two stages using the keyboard, then knocked it off to load my drivers etc for my joystick. Trouble is, I put the joystick CD in and my cd/dvd player doesn't see it. Tried a couple of other disk and it can't see those either.
So out of daftness I try the CMR05 game clicking the icon on the desktop, it asks for the cd to be put in, I do this and lo and behold it sees the CMR05 disk! Tried the other disks after that, but it doesn't see them.
Anyone any idea's please as this is definitely a new one on me!!!Hoping for some major help here,
Regards,
Jerry

Is the CD drive a DVD/CD R-W drive or a regular CD drive?
Occam's Razor is fun to employ to. Clean the CD off and reboot before retrying it.
Why cant we put questions here?

Sorry for delay in getting back - up to my eyes in stuff.
Yes, my drive is a cd/dvd r-w. I have since tried a dvd in it which it reads, but not a cd, which it did before.
I spoke to codemasters yesterday and they said they'd never heard of this type of thing before, but to try a download on their site - "Starforce Removal Tool".
I did that but still doesn't work.
Hopefully tonight I will try my old drive (cd/dvd reader) and see if that works. Not sure what you meant by - "Occam's Razor is fun to employ to"??
Can you please enlighten me??Cheers,
Jerry
