Comment:

I bought a the Chronicles of Riddock escape from butcher bay, I playaed the demo and saw the reviews and it was amazing.
I have a lot of issues, after getting a open GL error I went to the games website and updated the patch. Now I come to the game menu and select game, easy and play, the loading screen comes up for almost 20 minutes until I had to press control alt delete to get out of it back to the desktop.
I have reinstalled the game, patched it again and changed resolution.
Need help here please.

Just incase you were downloading the game it uses starforce protection which means unless its the officially bought game it wont read the disk and it wont load, it also freezes your pc up. I downloaded the game and you need to patch it before cracking it to get around the protection, also using daemon tools to mount an image of the real disk.

On the other hand im sure you bought the game, in which case you will need a new dvdrom driver, this happened to my brother with splinter cell chaos theory. he had to get a new drive because his previous one wasnt able to read the starforce protection properly, once he got the new drive it loaded instantly.

Maybe none of this applies to you though, you could check that you have the latest directx drivers, but then again they are probably installed when you install the game. some games, like half life 2 for instance, refuse to load the actual in game parts because the drivers aren't right for the game.

You could try third party drivers
