Hello, If you are experiencing choppy or stuttering gameplay i.e.momentary sound glitches, or screen pauses, please check that you have DMA enabled for your hard drive where the game is running from (and CD-Roms,DVD's etc..) I had this problem recently after Windows 'forgot' the checkmarks in the DMA boxes, and my games were stuttering and jumping. If it is happening as the machine is accessing the drive as well as playing the game, then DMA could be the culprit.
Thought this might help people with the same problem...

If you can't download the drivers for your sound card, you should try downloading drivers for your motherboard agp and video card.
