hey i just built my first comp, everything is running fine and good but i dont know why my choke in cs is staying on 60 - 100, i have an Epox 8RDA3+ motherboard and an AMD Barton 2500+ (i didnt OC to 3200+ yet, i dont have my PC3200 ram yet), i think its my ram because right now i have a 128MB PC2100 and a PC2700 in it, the PC2700 is in the dual slot and the PC2100 is in the stand-alone one, i have 3 slots all in all, am i doing something wrong? oh and i have an FX5900 XT as a video card.. FPS.. my ping and everything is A-OK but whats up with all this choke!?

Hmm stange because CS isnt a very demanding game [unless its the source] but your right it probably is your RAM difference

nvm i fixed it, it had nothing to do with any of my parts at all, when you install steam CS the "rate" is automatically set to 2,500, after i set it to 15,000 the choke was at 0 all the way, so if anybody is having choke problems, thats the solution. unless you have a 400Mhz comp or something like that
