Choice of 2x laptops for FSX? Which one???

June 9, 2011 at 04:25:14
Specs: Windows XP
Which one, out of the following two laptops/notebooks, will be the best for playing Flight Sim X specifically?

320GB HD
AMD Phenom II x2 N660 Dual Core (N660, 3.0GHz, 2MB Cache)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 AMD Premium Vision
(Windows 7)

ACER Aspire 6920G
500GB HD
Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 2.0GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS

I have researched both graphics cards and CPUs but it seems one has a better graphics card but not the best CPU and the other has the best CPU and not the best graphics card :S

I also know FSX is CPU reliant which makes me look straight at the 3.0GHz which scores mid-high range ratings but then it has a low range graphics card. But the NVIDIA graphics is capable of running FSX smoothly but is the CPU good enough, the 2.0GHz only rates as low-mid range!

I have a strict budget, both notebooks are for sale on eBay and are very local for me so I have to pick one.

If neither will be great for FSX, which one is easiest to upgrade, if at all?

Any advice will be hugely appreciated as I'm not the hottest on the tech knowledge.

Many thanks =)

Gaming depends on graphics. While neither of these graphics chips are great, the 9500M GS is the better of the two.

The 2nd laptop has a bigger HDD & twice as much RAM. Unfortunately, it's running Vista. Of course, that can be easily changed. Why are you shopping on eBay?
