I want a cheap Laptop that can replace my old desktop (which has no internet) but I have a wireless router (Net Gear) set up for my wii, but the internet on that is just not gonna cut it, and I also love to play Sims on my computer (I can't live without it!) So I want a bigger hard drive without boosting the prices to over $600... I do understand that gaming laptops are over $1,000 but gaming is not all I'm going to do. I want an affordable High preformance laptop that anyone can enjoy and more importantly... afford!

When you choose words like laptop, affordable, and high performance gaming, you can choose two of the three.

I agree with SkipCox, I would never personally rely on a laptop for gaming unless you're willing to fork out fairly serious money. If you're not set on a laptop, you can likely get a gaming desktop that's a fair price.

Here's a refurbished unit...closest I've ever seen to what you want.

I bought an ASUS X83V for 650$ new, from a retail store so you may very well find one cheaper than that online. It is by no means the pinnacle of gaming, however it is able to run Far Cry 2 at acceptable settings, and that game is a beast. Mine came with a 2.0 core 2 duo and a nvidia 9300m GS gpu. You can probably find a cheaper config with AMD/ATI but Im ASUS Intel Nvidia all the way. Also, I looked it up online and those spec are not quite what I saw a while back; but better for the same price. For a couple hundred more you can get a 2.5 duo and a 9800 512mb card which is much more capable. Add 400 more or so and you can get a gig card with that 2.5 duo.
