Certain Games Freeze/repeat sound

Specs: Windows XP, 3GB
Just recently i installed Oblivion and Bioshock on my computer. While i was playing Bioshock it suddenly froze and repeated this very annoying sound. So I played oblivion and never had a problem. I later went to play Bad company 2 but it started to have the same problems i had while playing bioshock. Bad company 2 was running fine before. So I'm really confused because Oblivion has really good graphics and i can play it with no problems but when i try to play Bad company 2 its freezing with the annoying sound repeated. The only way to exit is to power off my computer and start it back up. I also have the latest video card drivers and my computer was running bad company perfectly before i installed the Oblivion/Bioshock bundle. Any tips?
I Also know that it can't be overheating because i let my computer sit for the whole day then i turned it on and immediately got on Bad company and it froze. Also it has a temperature reader on the case. Please help i really want to play my bad company 2 in peace

It would help if you'd post the system specs & the temp readings, but more than likely it's a driver problem.

u can't compare oblivion and bad company 2.
i agree with jam, it is a driver issue. Try to reinstall or update audio driver. Latest drivers can be found from board manufacture website.

How is it that you were able to update your drivers? You apparently don't even know your system specs & had to use the scan tool to find the above info?
