Can't login to online games

Netgear Wgr614 wireless router

Specs: Windows XP, AMD Athlon 64 / 2 GB RAM

I moved to a new town in an apartment complex that offers free broadband internet. I am connected directly to the wall without a router or modem and all my internet browsing works fine. tells me my connection speed is about 1000kbps.

The problem is I can not login to games like wacraft 3, WoW, steam, or league of legends. For league of legends for example, I am able to patch everything fine automatically through the launcher, but then when I log in it doesn't get passed "logging in" and then gives me the message "Connection Failure: Unable to connect to the server." Similar messages appear for all other online games.

I have tried opening all possible ports the games use on my firewall, and after that not working I just turned windows xp firewall off. I have no other firewall.

Perhaps my free ISP has a way to block logging in to online games? Is that even possible?

Any help or insight is appreciated.

Yes it is possible that they are blocking traffic from games and
they may do this to limit bandwidth usage.

An easy step would be to contact someone and just ask before
running around all willy nilly with network tools =]
