Ok, so today i went shopping and i bought a Geforce FX 5500 PCI 128 (would of got better but i have dell and im limited to a pci). So anyways i spent the first 2 hours figuring out the display modes with nvidia (if you know what i mean) and now when i want to play ANY game like W3, Halo etc i cant play them as i get that error.
The monitor its plug and play and the same with the card i think? says - "Plug and play Geforce 5500" at display options. I edited the refresh rates for both the card and the monitor to be at 60 but i still get the same error :(.
Any help would be so MUCH apriciated i just bought wow and i want to play it :((

Have you installed the latest drivers:
http://www.nvidia.comHave you updated DirectX:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx?url=/windows/directx/downloads/default.htmPlease could you also provide some more details about your system, and your last video card; did you remove the old drivers for your last video card (was it an 'onboard' card)?
Why can't we put questions here?#

My old graphics card is onboard its Intel Extreme graphics controler. I have not uninstalled it the reason for this is because if i didnt uninstall it i couldent go to properties and chose fx nvidia 5500 to be as my main graphics card. Also i fiddled with the options and i found out that when my games start example; Warcraft TFT it started with 800*600 screen. I just changed my graphics to intel then changed the resolution of the game to 1024*784 and now it works. But why cant it support 800*600?
Oh yeah nvidia website isnt very good i downloaded some drivers and when i cliked update it said the drivers that i have installed (from cd) are newer hence the graphics card been released 1/2 years ago.

disable the old video cards 1st or uninstall it before you instll the the new video card. also, what exactly problem do you have. what kinda th error did you get? go to the device manager, click on display, and disable the intel graphica. then reboot the pc. there is a software calls Omega, its the pretty good software for video card. try that out, you might like it.
