It's been a while since I've built my computer so I am a little out of date with the current technologies. But, with all the cool games out now like farcry 2 and left 4 dead I've been thinking of upgrading my pc(especially with black friday coming soon). I currently have the following:
-socket 939 motherboard
-amd64 3000+ 1.81GHz
-nvidia 6600gt pci-express video cardWould it be worth upgrading my computer if my budget is $250? If so what should I get? Thanks.

You'll need a new motherboard, CPU, RAM & video card. Check this out:
- ECS A780GM-A AM2+/AM2 AMD 780G motherboard - $50
- CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2-800 - $25
- EVGA 9600GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCIe 2.0 - $85
Total is $216 after rebates. All items ship for free.

Here's a slightly cheaper RAM alternative:
4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2-800 Crucial BALLISTIX - $20 after rebate w/free shipping

Don't know if you ever cashed in on any of those deals or not but most have expired.
