For now & possible near future, that's one heck of a gaming machine .... but nothing is extensively future proof & you can count on the gaming industry to continue to push the envelope.

For now enjoy the top games out there & the bragging right granted by your 8800GTS. You've got a long way to go before you would need to cover your head with a cut out paper sack when you talk about gaming on your machine.

"ATX CASE WITH 450W PSU"

You might want to consider get a more decent power supply if you want to upgrade to a more powerful video card in the future...

Actually his video card only has 320MB of video memory. Hope he enjoys gaming with reduced level of detail or on small monitors.

6.UNREAL TOURNAMENT 3(of course your machine will run itbut you only gotta 17"(LOL) not exactly a gaming size monitor. upgrade to a 22" and you won't be able to play on max res with all candy possibly because it only has 320MB VRAM)
7.FAR CRY 2

The same goes for the other titles.

What do you mean, "only"? The majority of cards have 256MB. Cards with 512MB have been around for a while, but in many cases, it's just a marketing ploy. Some benefit from the added memory, but many don't. For instance, why would you need 512MB on a 7300GT or X1550?

And if you compare the 8800GTS 320MB vs the 8800GTS 640MB, the 320MB card wins in almost every benchmark.

Whats wrong with a 17 inch LCD? A lot of people have their monitors only a foot or two away from their face, anything bigger then a 19 Inch would be too much and not a lot of people have a lot of room or money to go out and get a good 21 inch LCD anyhow. I'd take a very good quality 17 inch LCD over a 21 inch budget LCD anyday of the week. Who cares if it's bigger if the display sucks then why bother....
