Hey...
I'm doing beta testing for a game coming out called Lineage 2. The game runs on port 7777. And my college blocked off port 7777 because file-sharing progs apparently run on this port also. I can play the game at my friend's house off campus, so I know it isn't my comp, or the game servers. I have been told about something called port forwarding and proxy servers, and how they might help me. Anyone know how to help me? Can I somehow change the port the game runs on? or trick it somehow?

Yeah port programs are popular at university's as pretty much everything is blocked. A popular program is called HTTPort, basically what they do is convert internet traffic and tunnel it thorugh a web browser port, so in your case it will tunnel port 7777 traffc through port 80. There good, but the only problem is if you want to use it for games your gonna have to purchase the program to have access to there high bandwidth server, as there free service is only ment for low bandwidth programs like irc or msn. Also i dont know if this applies to you, but my university has a strict code about port tunneling, so you may wanna check that out first. GL
