Hi,

I recently purchased the C&C Generals Deluxe edition from amazon :)
it got into my hands yesterday! I opened the box up and started installing the game as instructed. after generals installation finished I ran update checker and then played the game online it was successful. :)
so I decided to upgrade and install other 2 CDs for ZERO HOUR which is really why I purchased this game.

I finished installing then ran the auto update check and installed the latest patch. opened it up and it worked tried to play online and got a message which said "serial is invalid. please try another" while I am 100% sure that the box was not opened and serial is legitimate. Anyways I decided to neglict that fact and try the game in network mode which started fine I put 2 easy against me just to check the graphics of it. And then after 30 seconds or so of game play it destroyed all buildings and said I have been defeated!

I tried browsing for a solution on google but with no results!!

I am running VISTA BUSINESS EDITION WHICH CAME WITH MY DESKTOP 32BIT
all problems I saw online were saying that the game is not running but it did run on my pc! it just didn't allow me to log and play online or on the network mode.

I am guessing that some hacker/cracker/coder found a way to duplicate my serial key even before me purchasing the game. and it was banned by EA?

By the way I have checked for a virus on my PC and it turned out to be virus free :)

I was frustraited I removed Z:H from the PC and re-installed it AGAIN before installing I cleaned up the registry from old entry of the game.

still same problem!! I ran auto update check like 4 times for Z:H and it always said there is an update and downloaded it and installed it! always same file size but anyways an updated version usually also play network mode!! this is really weird can someone help me?? or does it not run on vista period?

Thanks in advance all,
AJ

Regards,
AJ

If you are having authentication problems with your legal product key, you are better off contacting EA.
