Finally getting my 9800 Pro today, after 2 years of making do with an MX440!

So just a quick question to all you 9800 Pro users, which are the best Cat drivers in your opinion?

Some people are like Slinkies™, not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs...

Ive had my 9800 Pro for 4 days. ive only used catalyst 4.5 as of yet. Far Cry looks amazing but likes to crash after about 20 mins of play, im not sure if its the drivers or what but im pretty sure its not my system. :-\

I have the new 4.5 Cat but had the OMEGA drivers.
Some things might not work with 4.5 so I downloaded the
Omega and there great. They also come with a free little
program to Overclock if you want.

At last Hooner you got a 9800 Pro lol, I use Cat 4.5, gained a little performance boost over 4.4, I always use the latest driver and never have a problem

What do you think of the 9800 Pro over the MX440 Hooner, better ;-)

You should be a able to run games at max details on that

It's um, a bit better Zero, lol. Everything flows like water, it's a beautiful sight. The difference to Far Cry is staggering, all those lovely DX9 effects.

I've still gotta say that my OC'ed MX rocked for what it was, can't see that much of a diff in Painkiller, or Vice City, apart from they're 3 times the frame-rate now obviously. But they always had good frame-rates on my MX anyway, around 50 fps. Battlefield Vietnam looks damn tasty now too.

It's nice being able to slap some AA and AF on my games though, the old MX would chug even at minimal settings.

All in all I'm really glad I waited until prices dropped down, I picked this baby up for less than £140 :-)
