Call of duty server

When I try to set up a dedicated call of duty server, it assigns me my local area network ip adress, 192.168.0.101. how can i change it so it gives me a internet ip adress so other people can join?

Are you starting the server as dedicated Lan? cause it should be on internet.
When you are connected to the internet if you have Winxp double click you internet icon on bottom right screen. The status of connection comes up. Click details tab and read the part where it says client Ip address. This is the Ip address that people connect from and the port is default on 28960.
