call of duty load crash and in game

well i installed call of duty, and all went well until i launched it and the main menu came up. all the letters are wierd and i cant read them and when i play the singal player game the begins to load reaches a point and it crashed back to my desktop. ive uninstalled and re-installed but it dosnt seem to work

Check the game is compatiable with the pc you are playing the game on, if everything is with spec then it could be a problem with your Graphics card, i.e. download up to date drivers the card from the manufacturers website.
