I've ran CoD pretty well since day 1 with perfect functionality and about an hour ago decided to reinstall it simply because I was cluttered up with mods etc and couldn't be bothered tracking them individually. Uninstalled fine, and appeared to install fine, however when I ran it, I arrive at the main menu however there is no text on any buttons. Trying to start a new game in SP by blindly clicking where the right buttons should be fails with an error, and the same for multi. Same problem when I patched it. And another key point, about two months ago I took the same set of CDs to a friends place to temporarily install it on his to show him the game. Same problem, however I figured it was because of his system's graphics card etc. I have not updated any drivers, I simply uninstalled a fine working game and reinstalled it within half an hour. Any ideas why this might be happening? Corrupt CDs? They look fine as far as scratching and have just sat in their original case amongst other cases in a cd holder for the last few years. Any help would be appreciate, thank you.
