I've been having problems with the game 'Call of Duty' recently, it used to work fine but for some reason recently whenever I try to load it I either get a black screen come up or the graphics look all distorted and glitchy making it unplayable. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling about 15 times and changed the settings within the game. I've updated my graphics card drivers and changed the resolution and refresh rate. I have a 64mb GeForce 2 Ti Card and DirectX 9.0c. My sound card drivers are quite old but this didn't affect the game before. Can anyone offer any help? It's really bugging me now. Thanks.

uh...I think I would have abandoned this approach after the 2nd attempt...lol

There's your problem...you have an OLD card & should NOT be using the most recent drivers. Follow the hints on how to properly update the drivers, then download & install version 56.64

Turn off your Vsync in your display settings.

I had similar problems with Unreal Tournament 2004, and I had Vsync on. I turned it off and it was fine.

Thanks very much, I uninstalled the video card drivers and reverted back to 53.03 and now it works fine. Everyone else told me to update, lol.

Well, I thought I'd fixed the problem but it's come back again. When I load the game I get the distorted screen again and can't play it. It works fine straight after installing new graphics drivers but once I do a reboot I get the error again. Can't understand it. Can anyone help please?
