Hi everyone

It's been quite a long day, trying to find a solution for the Call Of Duty Brightness/Gamma slider not working for Radeon 9800, 9700 and possibly other models. Well, by accident I solved it on my pc, equipped with a Radeon 9800 SE. All you need to do to bring back the lively brightness in COD is:

Right click your desktop
Go into Properties
Go to Settings tab
Click Advanced
Click the square for Monitor 2
Uncheck "Extend my desktop..."
Apply/OK

Now run your game and it should be a lot brighter than what you first saw! ;) Not really a permanent solution, but at least you can play, I hope!

It worked for me at least!

Cheers everyone!
Thomas

Until we die and then beyond...

Tom

Nor any brightness/gamma problems on an old ATI Radeon 7200.
