CPU/Ram: P4 1.6 / 512MB RAM

I just got Call of Duty and when I play it after like 10-20 seconds my screen goes black, then blue with alot of text that immediately switches to my computer restarting. (The text goes away too fast for me to read) If anybody has ANY idea what might cause this crash please help because I cant play at all!
My system specs are:

P4 1.6 processor
512MB RAM
128MB Radeon 9600 video card

u need different video drivers. do a google search alot of people have had problems with call of duty when running a ATI video card.

have you choosen after restart of game
"secure mode"? it helped me at TI4200 card.
Then i changed some settings in the configs
of the card in the games config-screen.
Thereafter i had no errors anymore.
