Dear All

I am about to buy a new PC only for gaming but am bit confused about what to buy. What I found so far is

Processor : AMD Athlon64 3000+
Board : A8N VM CSM (Not Sure)
RAM : 1GB
Video Card: Asus GeForce 6600 256MB
Monitor : 17 View sonic

I know there are akot of powerful processors and cards availble in market but its I had also to maintain my budget.

Please help me sort things out. Also tell if I buy this stuffs from any site then is it fine coz I was thinking about the warranty issues.

Bye

Don't do it "1/2 fast"...if you have to wait a week or two until you can build up some more cash...wait. For a little more money, you can do much better.

Do you want/need a microATX board? Integrated video? nForce 6150/430 chipset? I suggest you choose another board. The nForce4 Ultra is THE chipset to go with for the S939 A64.

Newegg's site appears to be down, so have a look at these, just to give you an idea...newegg's prices *may* be cheaper:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 1GHz FSB - $166

Board: DFI nF4 Ultra-Infinity Socket 939 - $99

RAM: CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) PC 3200 - $75

http://www.chiefvalue.com/app/productdetails.asp?submit=property&item=20-145-440

Video card: XFX 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 PCI-E - $137

http://www.chiefvalue.com/app/productdetails.asp?submit=property&item=14-150-098

Total is $477.

Plus you'll need a decent power supply to run it all, so plan on another $50 for a reliable one. Plus whatever monitor you're considering...you're probably looking at $700-800 to do it right

This space for rent
