Hi, i have heard that there is some software that allows you to burn DVD's using your CD-burner.

If you know of any program like that, please let me know...

Thanks

I havn't heard of any software like that, but some do let you burn a video CD (VCD) which will play in a dvd player. But you can only burn up to 700mb of video.

thats impossible, since a cd burner cant even recognize a dvd. put any dvd in the drive and it wont even recognize the dvd. unless it is a dvd/cd burner, then it is impossible to burn dvd's. Or else, what would be the purpose of buying a dvd burner if a cd burner could burn a dvd?
yes, you could make a vcd, or svcd, which will probably play in a standalone video. However, u will either have to compress the quality of the movie VERY VERY drastically, or have it on like 9 cd's, or meat somewhere in the middle. remember, a dual layer dvd (most movies are on these) holds 8 something gb's. A cd only holds .7 Gb's or 700mb.

Btw, u at least need a dvd-rom drive which reads dvd's, or else ur out of luck

of course. look for dvd rewriters that support both + and - formats, and has dual layer capability and is at a fast speed. Here is a nice cheap one for $51 USD. something w/ those speeds and everything will be good.

you may want to look into SVCD
