I'm building a gaming pc, I dont have "too" much computer knowledge, and dont plan to overclock any parts. Generealy im looking to build a system that will play any if not most of the games out there currently at atleast medium qaulity, here are the specs, and I'd like to see what you think.

GeForce 7950GT PCI-EXPRESS
Intel E6400 2.13GHz
Corsair XMS2 2x512 Xtreme Memory
Asus P5NSLI Socket776 nForce570
Thermaltake TR2 500W PSU

This gets me to about 1,000USD, let me know what you think of the parts, and cost wise if it's worth it, or any suggestions, thx.

I would get 2Gb of RAM for modern gaming, and if you don't plan to overclock, then there is no point to buy Xtreme memory... I suggest you buy any value series DDR2-533/DDR2-667 will do the trick. Unless you are planning to overclock, then getting DDR2-800 performance series is highly recommanded for high fsb overclock..

Asus P5P800-SE PAT
P4 506 @ 4009Mhz 1.3625v
Thermaltake CLP0024 w/ 1700RPM 92MM + AS5
2GB OCZ 2-3-2-5 DDR400
120GB/300GB 7200RPM HD
Leadtek 7600 AGP 590/1600 VF700 ALCU AS5
