hi,
I purchased some PC games recently and found out they all kept asking for the CD when loading. Is there a way to install the entire game on to the HDD and stop that annoying disc fetch message? I just don't like to look around for them since there are hundreds of discs on my desk. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I know there's CD emulator programs, that act as a new cd-rom drive, but are actually files on the HDD, and therefore you don't have to get out a bunch of CDs. I don't, however, have experience with such programs, therefore I can't tell you how well they work, or which one to get. I suggest you do a search on google for cd emulator or goto download.com and see what they have.

If you go to www.megagames.com , then you can usually find some "no cd patches"

Sometimes you can copy the entire contents of the cd to your hard drive the install from that and it will not look for a cd in a drive.I do this since i have a second 40 gig hard drive just for backing up info.Take alot of drive space and dosnt always work but the game do install faster.

You can use a program called "Virtuel CD" (http://www.virtualcd-online.com/vcddemoe.exe)to create virtuel cd's of your games on your HD. Itīs quite easy, you copy the Cd to your HD using the CD manager tool. Then load the virtuel cd file to your virtuel drive, and off you go! Mind you it takes up a lot of space, so you'll ned a large HDD. you can find a serial on emule. Hope it works!
