Depends on what it's "supposed" to be - it's a common extension - and where you got it

In the context of gaming, a BIN (& CUE) file generally indicates a CD image, much like an ISO - burn with your favourite burning program or mount with a virtual drive app (Nero (full version) does both) - daemon tools is popular (many more) - your choice may depend on whether or not you need to circumvent copy protection, and what kind

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true

... kinda what I'd thought

Not really my area of expertise - I would assume it is a CD image from its size alone, but BIN files (afaik) usually come with an important CUE file too.

You can try daemon tools or scout around for some other CD emulator and see if one or another will mount the image.

If your BitTorrent source (or wherever) has a forum or FAQ sheet or comments, might try checking there - no comments in the RAR?

so i just download the daemon tools and mount all the .BIN files or the .CUE files???or should i mount the one large .BIN file???

i used MagicISO and mounted the large .BIN file but nothing happened it said it was extracing it but the file stayed the same
dont know what happened

Daemon tools loads the CUE file when opening one of those - but both files should be in the same folder - you'll see once you start it up and mount the image, it'll create a virtual CD or DVD drive with its own letter

Should be one BIN & one CUE per disc image

Hard to say why it didn't work for you - could be a system problem, bad download or something else again - try some different applications, if none work, bad d/l seems most likely

Oh Rax - don't you have anything better to do than make foolish statements that reveal your ignorance?

... I suppose not

CUE & BIN files, virtual CD drives and WinRAR are all legitimate Windows applications and concepts - so my advice to you is to tell someone who cares

Daemon Tools download page

If that doesn't work, try Googling for other apps, or see if you can burn it

If magicISO has the capability of mounting ISO images, I don't think you need to be looking all around for the 'evil' tool.

Yeah - that should have worked, but it's not like there's a shortage of applications that work with CD images

As mentioned, the file may be corrupt
