Since 1.05 Patch on BF2142 my pc runs out of RAM on titan mode.
My question is, when i add up the processes showing how much ram they're using it comes no where near 2gb. Is there anyway to specifically show what files/programs are using all this ram? BF2142 recommend 2gb but never recommend more than 2gb. No one on the forums have this problem. Before bf2142 is opened, my pc is idle at 200mb ram used. Another strange thing is that after a titan mode, i close down bf2142, the bf.exe clears itself from the ram (minus 1gb), but my pc remains idle at 1gb in use until i restart windows. I cant work out what this extra 700mb is and why it doesn't clear after 2142 is shut down. Thats why i would like a program that shows exactly where my ram is being used. I dont want to have to buy more ram when i'm the only person with this problem.
I have GA-K8NXP-SLI, Athlon64 3000, 2Gb (4X512Mb) Corsair TwinX XMS DDR PC3200, 1x Gigabyte's GV-N68T256DH 256mb 6800GT (with lastest drivers), 200gb Sata2(300).

Try Process Explorer.
"Enough, enough bowing down to disillusion!
Hats off & applause to rogues & evolution!
The ripple effect is too good not to mention.
If you’re not affected, you’re not paying attention!"

I also have a 6800GT card and downgrading the driver from 93.71 to 81.98 made an enormous improvement in 3DMark06 performance as well as fps in BF2142 and BF2.
Search around for info on memory leaks & 6800GT. Apparently, memory leaks in general are the culprit that eats up the RAM. Some folks have had success going back to older nVidia drivers.
