Hey all I have a very strange problem lately with the Battle field 2 game. I have been playing it for 2 years now and never had this problem. I have battle field 2 and its expansion pack (Battle field 2: special forces)...Now whenever i turn on battle field 2: special forces and want to join a server, i strangely get Battle field 2 servers (from the original game) and if I attempt to join one it tells me ''error detected in socket sent''...now normally im suppose to get bf2: sf servers in my bf2:sf server list, but I don't...I tried putting in my BF 2 game and joining a server but when I do it becomes really messed up...My sound starts getting choppy and graphics and the whole game runs like crap...I have NO idea what this problem might be and Im hoping one of you guys do. Thanks a lot. btw my sound card is built into my motherboard and my graphics card is a radeon 9600 pro...and also Ive NEVER had this problem in 2 years and never heard of anyone having this problem...maybe a virus messing with my computer? ok thanks again for any help.

Try degragmenting the computer and run a virus scan. Maybe reinstall?

But, what do I know? Im a computer n00b.

I have never gotten BF2 but I hear that some new patches they put out can cause problems. Your best bet would be to spend a half-hour and unistall then rienstall the whole game and expansion pack.

uninstall then reinstall,instal the latest update(full).

Worked for me.

the only problem i get now is 'internet connection problems'

how have you played bf2 for 2 years when it came out just aver a year ago?
