I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.2 GHz setup with 2G of RAM. Right now I'm running a ATi Radeon 128MB card. Which sucks for Sims 2. I'm looking to figure out what the best card is for playing the Sims 2. My wife loves the game but hates the graphics of it. I have AGP 4x/8x no PCI-e. What is the best choice? Do I stick with ATi or is there better?
It would help to know which Radeon model you have. Is it an actual card or is it integrated? It would also help to know how much you're willing to spend. Here's one possibility:
The Radeon X1650PRO that I posted a link to is a HUGE upgrade & for $55 w/free shipping, it's a good deal. I doubt you'll find anything better in that price range.
