What is the best mouse for gaming? I was looking at the Razer Diamondback, and the Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse. Which one of these do you guys think is better? They both look equally good to me, and I can't find any reviews comparing them. Before I buy either one, I want to make sure I am getting the best one. What do you think is better for gaming? Please don't suggest a cordless mose, because under no circumstance would I even consider getting one. I know the MX1000 is susposed to have great response time, but it will NEVER be as good as a corded mouse. Even if the lag is so little that you don't notice it, it's still there. It's like a 60hz refresh rate, nothing looks different, but you still get a headache.

You shouldn't disconsider cordless mice, since they remove any motion loss due to the friction of the cord. If you had to choose from one of the two you mentioned, I'd go for the Logitech since it is apparently more hand-adaptive (Altough It's no good for left-handed people).

as a gamer to another gamer, logitech. been using mx500-mx510 and i can operate crosshairs on heads as good as a natural reflex of my body and arm. smoooooooooth

i never seen a viper in my face, so i cannot contest about it. from a biased point of a view, the mouse has no extra buttons. outside of gaming and the 5 included programable buttons of logitech, internet exploring i can easily predict will be a bitch with the viper.

I guess u will have to go with personal preference. im not a hardcore gamer but i play quite a bit and my sordeless mouse and keyboard work better then my old stuff (not to mention the whole thing is all hidden so u dont even see my tower) But relly go with what u like. Try and see if u can try them out at a store display. I know my pc store has some and let u try them

Mod it till it bleeds
