I'm planning to buy a laptop primarily for gaming (so that i don't have to hide away in my room when playing!). it'll obviously need a pretty decent graphics card, which needs to be compatible with the sims 2. i'm not too bothered about much else: RAM of 1gb, and about 80gb hard drive would be best. any recommendations?

Gaming laptop
CPU: Intel Core2 all the way. Dont go for AMD Turion. it sucks.
RAM: 1GB minimum
HDD: Bigger size better, most games now takes up more space to install. Minimum 80GB.
Sound: External Sound Blaster Audigy/XFi for sound processing. Not sure there is internal creative product for notebook, if so go for it.Graphics: 7600Go Minimum 128MB 256MB better.
LCD: 14" bigger size better view.
Weight: It will be heavy because of the screen size so on. but if you can get 2.5kg below will be better. You dont want to put heavy brick on your lap right?
Battery: 2 hours min running time. Get extra battery if you can. You wont notice the time that you spend when youre playing game yknow.
Joypad: Get the XBOX360 or Thrustmaster fps pad for your laptop. Trust me its worth it. Sure Sims2 does not need pad, but do you play Sims2 only? sure you do not right? Thrustmaster fps pad can be configured to mimic mouse movement. Not fully but ok considering its a gamepad.
