i'm having issues with a few online games such as Battlefield 2142 and Rome: Total War. the problem is one resembling minor lag issues, however a) my internet connection is optimal (i never had a problem before) and b) this issue occurs playing offline as well.

the issues started happening around the time that i unfortunately experienced a motherboard battery failure. i have since replaced the battery, however i may have missed a critical step regarding replacing CMOS values after the problem (i wasn't overclocking before and i'm still not now). i have also tried updating all my video drivers, etc.

....i have no idea!?!?!?!

i am able to operate normally just surfing internet/word processing, etc. (all the necessary stuff), the issue just occurs with high-CPU involvement games such as those i listed.

any help would be much appreciated!!! thanks!!!

I have the exact same problem. I think either my video card or PSU is going on the fritz though. Although I have seen in other places that other users are having problems, I think there might be a problem with the EA master server.

I hope you resolve your issue. I would track down mine, but I figure I'll wait for it to die so I can build a new computer.
