When you install BF2 and make an account, does that account save your cd key, allowing no one else to use the key? If you give someone else your account, will they be able to play the game with your cd key? How does this work?

yes it saves your CD key and yes if you let your friend borrow the game and CD key he can play but both of you wont be able to play online unless he buys his own copy.
