Im not surprised by these insane requirements I have a 5700ultra and it can only handle low settings only for the bf2 demo while it runs half life 2 at ultra high settings this does not make any sense to me but, the makers of BF1942 did the same thing made a game that lived for 4 years and still living because at the time it first came out not many computers could support it, and here they are doing it all over again
Mother of God.....I will not only need a video upgrade which I had anticipated but I'll need to get a whole new system to play. Has anyone loaded it on something lower than the recommended 1.7 GHZ????
i have a gateway with pentium4,768 ram,but no graphics card just the 1 i got the computer with.i got my computer in 2002 or 2003 i dont know. wat type of graphics card should i get i realy dont wanna spend 400 tho?but i want bf2 to look amazing.wat type of graphics card should i get?and do i need a power supple?
hey guys, i have been having computer restart problems with BF2, i have done everything u can think of, only thing i have not done was research on BF2 requirements for power supply. i have a 400 watt supply(14 amps). could this be the problem?
AMD Athlon 64 3400 K8S-MX MotherBoard 1.5 gig of Ram X800XL Video Card 400 Watt power supply
Well, i currently have a X300 PCIe edition cuz i was short on cash and it handles games "ok" but i was looking at getting a X800XL but as i look around i see that ppl are having problems with the card and BF2 now i was wondering if these ppl arent very smart and havent updated drivers or if there is a real issue because i want 16 pipelines not 12....:-(
Zypher i would say something like 6600gt would be fine in your situation(money other wise 6800gt would be awsome :-D). i got the 6600gt(AGP)256mb got everything on high AAx2 1024/768 deffintly a good thing i bought it with 256megs now ;-)
No it won't work, you need at least a Nvidia 5, Pent 4. I am running a Nvidia Ge force 4 Integrgated CPU. I am wondering what a good video card upgrade would be. Of course I will want to run Battlefield 2 at a fair speed.
k, here's the list BF2 needs xp to run the x800 video card has "issues" with the game and read the rest of the requirements at the top. Anyways, i got an Amd athlon xp 2600,which has 256mb of ram, plus 768 of the ram, a Radeon 9550, that's just just the basics, but i still get problems on setting that are split between Medium and Low, the game overall is too demanding for the average gamer, even though it is playable for me, it takes the fun out of it when the game randomly minimizes.
Does anyone here know how to fix a virtual memory problem, i'm not to good with this stuff.
