Hi there,
I have a problem, my battlefield 2 freezes just after I enter a server. I have read that some of you folks have the same problem. Can I reinstall the game without loosing my stats? And for those with the same problem, where you able to fix it without having to reinstall the game?
Thanks.

I can answer your question about stats. You will retrieve your stats when you log back into BF2.click retrieve account put in username and password and your stats are then back in place.

As for the freezing ,have you got good cooling? A lot of comps freeze if they overheat.

I have had the same problem exactly for the last two weeks, after spending LOADS of money on RAM, Power SUPPLY, Graphic card 6600 Nvidia. Three days in technical at PC World. Still no good. BUT, this is interesting, try this. UNINSTALL battlefield 2, delete the battlefield folders in EA Games folder. Re-install Battlefield 2 after a reboot. Load up the Patch v 1, BUT NOT the v 2 patch. Now try a nd play, mine plays but only with a few maps showing. But as soon as I load Patch 2, FREEZE. Back to square one. I am just about to let EA Games know, to see if they can check it out. Good luck. And No, you dont lose stats.

I have the same problem before, then I did the following to get back to the game:
1. Uninstall the game included all saves and profiles
2. Uninstall nVidia Driver
3. Install BF2
4. Install the nVidia Driver provided in the DVD
5. Update 1.03
6. Update PB
7. Good to go!
