i just purchased battlefield 2 and apparently i only have 32mb of display memory. I have a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420 graphics card and was wondering if i can maximise my display memory somehow or is it time to get a new graphics card?

Bf2 won't play with your graphics card. To play it I'm afraid you'll have to upgrade.

Agreed. 32MB of video RAM is not enough for today's games & there's no way to increase it unless you upgrade the card (the MX420 never was a good card to begin with). Asumming you have an AGP slot, get a card with 128MB @ 128-bit that supports DX9. If you want something inexpensive, you could get what I have...a Radeon 9550. If you want a little more power, get a Radeon 9600XT. If you prefer nVidia, get a FX5600 or higher.

If you only have PCI slots, your choices are very limited, they're expensive, & none of them are all that good.
