well i think i have a good enough computer to play Rainbow Six 3 :Ravens sheild

its a :
WINDOWS XP PRO SP1
A7N8X-X 8xagp , ddr 3200
AMD 2600+ BARTON W/333 FSB & 512L2 CACHE
512 PC 3200 Kingston *ValueRam* cl 2.5
120 gb western digital 7200 rpm
ATI RADEON 9800 PRO (3.9 catalyst drivers)
NVIDIA NFORCE 2 INTEGRATED SOUND

i have the highest resolution settings and higest detail setting enabled in the game....but not in my control panel (they are on performance)

however,,,,there is still performance drops in some areas.....such as the snow level and some other levels...i get as low as 38 fps in the middle of the action....

i mean is there a bug for the bad performance??
i tried all the tweaks for the game....but to no avail..

i get good ping...around 30

i put punkbuster on pb_sleep 500

what is the problem, ?? thanks!!!

here are some helpful things you can do.

-overclock your video card
-disable/uncheck start ups you don't need.(go to start, run msconfig)
-run scandisk, check for any errors, and download a free virus scanner. check for any viruses.
-defrag your comp. download latest drivers for your mobo(nforce2).

good luck

Stop Bragging... As low as 38FPS. That is not too bad.
I do have a way you may be able to get more... I was able to get about 10% to 25% better FPS.

I have the almost the same motherboard, A7N8X-deluxe 8xagp. I was successfully over clocked the CPU. I went from 2500+/512K L2Cache, 333FSB to and over clocked to 3200+.
I went to 3200+ (2200Mhz)/512K 400FSB L2Cache.

I set the FSB to 200Mhz and set the CPU multiplier to 11. (11 x 200 = 2200).

This has worked without any problems on two different systems and my CPU runs at about 46C when gaming.

Good Luck
