Both suck nasty! And they're not worth squat. ATI sucks, so go for a GeForce FX card, you'll get better stability and all-around performance. But the FX 5700 LE has some problems, so get a 5800. Thet're around $100 at pricewatch.com. Remember to avoid all ATI cards-I've been burned by them way to many times to go back.

The 9600xt isn't really good enough to benefit from having 256mb of memory. IMO the 128mb version is pretty good (my dad has one) but both are getting a little old now, i'd be tempted to spend an extra £40 on an Nvidia Geforce 6600GT 128mb AGP, which will last you longer than a 9600xt.

Somehow, PC world seem to be offering some great prices on some components; Personally, i'm tempted by the BFG (pre-overclocked) Nvidia 6800 128mb at £180.

they arent as bad as everyone says, i had one and it worked pretty good for todays games. Upgraded to 6800GT 256mb but if i didnt have the money id stay with the 9600XT, still a good card for today, but will be getting "old"
