Hellow All,
I recently upgraded my GPU from an fx 5200 to an 6600GT. With the fx 5200 I could not even think of AA of AF, but with the GT I find that I can permanantly keep AA at 8x (and AF to 16x)
But I am confused about games like gta san andreas that have antialiasing settings within them.
What is the best way to run the game? Do I use the driver setting or do I use the game setting.
I have tried to find out for my self with various settings, but turns out that I am very bad at such evaluations.
I cant figure out which is best.
I had read that halo performes very slow with driver AA and AF, but I played halo at highest resolution and detail with AA and AF at max and it did make the graphics look very good and it didnt slow down the game at all.
What do you guys think about games that have AA settings within them? Do they take priority over the driver settings or do the driver settings override the game settings?

You paid for the quality, if by your own measure it does not effect the speed or FPS ( frames per second), then by all means use all the power of that card!!
WinXP PRO SP2
ASUS A7N8X-X
BIOS 1014 beta 2
PC3200 768 1.5t 3t 3t 6t
AMD XP 2600+ @ 2.2
ATI AIW 9800 PRO 128MB

Yea man,
After haviing the 6600Gt for about a week, I cant imagine how I used the fx 5200 for almost a year.
Well, that card is not bad, but that is not really a "graphics" card, it is something that will alow you to play games, not enjoy games.
BTW, read my signature below to find out how much I paid for it.
