Reply: (edit)Looks good to me. The reviews that I have read on those speakers have not been too favorable, at least for music. "There be no shelter here, the front line is everywhere"

Reply: (edit)Agreed. Screw the 2.1 and go for atleast 4.1, 5.1 preferably. You just cant have a great gaming box like that and have only 2 satellites and 1 sub. Its sacrilege. Have the lambs stopped crying Clarice?

Reply: (edit)I wouldn't go with that mobo. DFI is more reliable. 74gigs of storage is enough?! Get a 300 gig SATA2 drive instead. What power supply? Please help survivors of Hurricane Katrina.www.redcross.org

Reply: (edit)If you get 5.1 make sure to get some nice speakers. Personally, I hate those packs that come with a great subwoofer but hand-sized speakears that hold no power at all. If besides playing games you are a music lover don't expect the typical 5.1 packs to satisfy you. You need powerful speakers, not only 5.1. I prefer two BIG speakers (I connected my old powerful stereo to the PC) rather than those weak 5.1 speakers.

Reply: (edit)I am a very big reader of maximum Pc and they rate that motherboard as being the best out there right now. The 500W power supply im going to get is coming with the case. Even though i dont like it im getting the logitech X-530 70 Watts 5.1 Speaker System beacuse really anything is better than the replacement 11 watt system that I got after I blew my old ones out. I cant and dont wanna dish out 200 dollars for a big and powerful speaker system that I really can use to its full potential. Seeing that im going into college next year I dont think my neighbors will appreciate the shaking walls. Anyway let me know what you think.

Reply: (edit)do you plan to overclock at all? i don't know about that particular board, but asus boards in the past have had bios failures when overclocking. also... don't ever use the PSU that came with the case. #1), it's probably not actually 500 watts, and even if it is.. that's it's peak power, it won't have dual rails and it won't be able to keep the voltage at a constant rate (which can shorten the life of your system), and the power supply is the only part of your computer that can "take out" your entire system all at once if it craps out.. spending $75~$125 on a quality PSU is worth it to protect your rig
