Well lets look at the types of lag there is. There are two types. Computer lag, and Network lag. Ill detail a little on how to optimize both.

Computer lag is optimized by:
-Turning down your graphics.
-Turning off background programs eps. web browsers. (To access the programs that are running in the background when you start up your computer follow the instructions after I list everything else.)
-$$$, upgrade your Memory=>CPU=>graphics card (in that order to optimize)
*Note* while looking at your specs you seems to be in a good spot)
-A virus could be running in the background slowing things down so make sure and run those antivirus regularly.

Network Lag is optimized by:
-ensuring all file sharing programs are turned off (no bit-torrent emule etc)
-Close all web browsers while playing
-Upgrading your level of internet connection from your ISP (and ensure you are getting the proper speed by doing a speedtest which are ava on several web sites)
-Ensure you are not running you connection through slow or congested network equipment.

Other things to note is that you have a pretty top of the line video card. Did this come with the computer when you bought it? Its possible that you don't have enough power coming from your power supply for your video card to be running at its best.

Instructions on how to access start up boot:
**WARNING** ONLY DO THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. YOU CAN REALLY MESS YOUR COMPUTER UP IF YOU TURN SOMETHING OFF YOUR NOT SUPPOSE TO. **

Start=>RUN=>Type msconfig=>click STARTUP tab=> turn off the select programs you KNOW (don't turn off things you are unsure about).=>Reboot.

Hope this helps.
