Thought id play Aliens vs Predator Gold on my PC, but the loading was veeery sloow, and when the game did finally start, it was very jerky.

Ive tried everything I can think of.

Stopped all unneccesary processes. Stopped anti-virus. Disabled network card, sound card, usb card. Stopped unneeded xp's services. Nothing worked.

So I thought Id reinstall the Matrox G550 graphics drivers. No luck. Now Ive reinstalled the game itself, its even worse! Its still just as slow but all the graphics are gone and replaced with coloured blocks. See image link:

What else can I try? I have directX 9.0c at the mo and the game needs at least version 6.

Should I try an older graphics driver? I dont understand it as it used to be really fast and silky smooth. :(

wow, your pc is too slow man, p3 500mhz, how can you run winxp SP2 with that? its not about the game, its your pc. plus you installed winxp sp2 on this pc. that make is even slower.

Er. No. I have a dual PIII 500 with a 1gb of ram and it runs great, way better than my mates Vista on a 2Ghz PC. Anyway the games specs say it recommends P1 300Mhz. so your theory is completely wrong.

I think you need to re-read my post dunpealx4.

The speed of the pc isnt in question, look at the images and youll see. AvP used to run as smooth as a baby's bottom but for some reason its not running properly anymore.
