Alien v Predator video issue

Sega Aliens vs. predator
June 15, 2010 at 13:28:16
Specs: Windows vista 32
I have a Dell 530 and I upgraded the video adapter to a ATI X800XL, I purchased the Alien v Predator game and when I run it I see the entire introduction. When the game actually starts the screen goes blank except for the scanner and the text. Is my card not powerful enough?

1. That's an older game, good luck with trying to run it in Vista.

2. I would try going to AMD.com and updating the ATi video drivers, or trying different versions

PowerMac 9600(1 ghz G4)
512mb RAM
50gb SCSI
ATi 9200 PCI

I assume you're asking about the newly released version rather than the version from 10 yrs ago? It doesn't appear your card is supported. The X800 & X1600 are on par performance-wise, but my guess is the pixel shader support is the issue. The X1600 supports PS3.0 but the older X800 only supports PS2.0. I ran into the same problem with my old X800 & Oblivion.

Jam is right. The new version of alien v predator is bad, try the old alien v predator (2001).
