Comment: Hi all, I just did a clean install of windows xp pro and install the latest catalyst driver for my radeon 9000 but when I check the DirectX configuration, the AGP texture acceleration somehow is disabled and I have no idea why it's disabled. I've tried install and uninstall and install and uninstall again w/ no luck. I wanna play Max payne 2 and CoD...any ideas how to solve this problem??? PS: It was enabled before I did a clean instal. I cleaned install my windows because there was a missing file for windows and it required me to reformat it:(...DX9.0b thanks for your help guys...

Reply: (edit)it sounds like you haven't installed the drivers for your mobo (which includes the AGP driver).

Reply: (edit)Sounds to me like your hardware acceleration has been lowered. Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot > Properties Whack that slider up to full.

Reply: (edit)Guess...it's somehow became available...i dunno why but what i did was uninstalled the catalyst 3.10 driver then install and uneinstall the old driver, now the AGP texture is available (no ATi driver is installed). Then finally i reinstall the latest catalyst and it's somehow become available...it's weird really...but who cares...only god knows why... thanks,
