Kind of bazaar but just when you think AGP finally R.I.P. Sapphire is set to release an AGP version of the ATI Radeon 4650.

Bizarre indeed....but good for older systems like mine that are still using the AGP interface.

The Radeon HD3850 AGP with 256-bit GDDR3 memory is still a more powerful card. The only thing the HD4650 brings to the table is DX10 support.

It blows my mind that they are still making AGP cards, But kind of cool. It would be nice if they made a decent (X1650Pro range) low profile card. The tape deck that I converted to a HTPC works nice, but would be great to play some better games on my LCD TV especially now I upgraded it from a Sempron to an Athlon 64. The 6200 is the best low profile AGP card I can get my hands on.

I guess there must be still a decent size market out their for AGP that ATI is still capitolizing on and since Nvidia bailed out on the AGP market some time back, ATI has what's left of the AGP market all to themselves.
