I read a while ago that ATI and their manufacturing partners were planning on AGP HD 2400 and 2600 cards.
I'm not sure what nVidia's plans are for AGP, if they even have any plans at all for the dying interface.
Super Pentium III: NOW WITH 7950GT AGP! PIII-S cpu overclocked to 1.66GHz--As fast as a 2.5GHz P4! 2GB of PC2700 memory QDI Advance 12T board Audigy 2 Vista Home Premium
ATI will most likely produces AGP DirectX 10 cards, it's been in their forcast for a while. You'll prob see AGP DirectX 10 cards come out from ATI soon to help fill the remainder of the low end gaming market which is what they classify AGP now. Nvidia has no plans of making any DirectX 10 AGP cards from here on out. The 7xxx series was the end of the line for AGP on Nvidia's platform.
Heh, I remember when the 7800GS was released for AGP. I was almost certain no more AGP cards would be made after that, then they made the 7600GT, 7900GS, 7950GT, X1600XT, X1950XT and a bunch more. I sure was proved wrong. But now I'm fairly sure that a high end card wont be made with DX10 for AGP... I think. Heh.
