age of empires II running

i have installed age of empires 2 on win xp sp2 . it is not running properly. some times the screen get half black and rest graphics . some time it starts hanging out the pc . some times the graphics shown by game repeat itself for eg
something was here . i moved the screnn now it must have changed it place but shows there also and also on the new position. some times the colour of graphics change to pink.
all this thing happen always. please help me to remove this problem. this game run well on xp without sp2.

Do you know what drivers are and how to get them? Try getting updated drivers for your video card

either reinstall your video card drivers like ipartyin247 said or try right click the shortcut for AOE2 and click properties then click the compatibility tab, tick the check box that says "run in compatibility mode for:" and select windows 98 from the drop down box, and if that dosent work try windows 2000, and if that dosent work reply to this forum post to tell me that i have failed to help you

changing the compatibility doesn't work bith for 98 and xp.
where will i find my name of video drivers and then from where will i download it?

ok right click on my computer go to properties then device manager, look under display adapters that is your video card google it or go to the manufacturers website it won't be heard to find drivers from there
