Well,i've been thinking about uploading game videos on youtube, but i play games in windowed mode(don't ask me why)and hypercam lags my game to heck,so i was wondering if there was any other program that could record windowed games and not take up too much cpu cycles.

I've seen people use fullscreen-game recording software, and posted such videos on youtube. Perhaps googling for software such as the above, maybe you'll get somewhere?

Sorry I'm not much help.

I use Fraps. Most games have a built in command for making demos. What game are you trying to record? Usually when I want to record something I use the built in recorder that comes with the game. To do this bring down the console and type \record filename. That way I don't lose FPS while playing. Then play the demo back, and record it with Fraps.
