about HL and DOOM3

i got question about HL2 and Doom 3, which game actually require higher performance PC/video card. because when i play doom3, HOLY LAG! 18fps? man you gotta be kidding me. i've already upgraded my memory to 1gb ddr 3200, p4 3.2GHz geforce Ti 4400. using resolution 1024x768, detail turns medium. donr know what happen. i wonder if HL2 would be even lagger or not, cuz i plan to buy HL2, hopefully it runs better than this.

HL2 is little less demanding than D3 so it should perform more smoothly for u on your system.

the half life 2 engine is about 2 years old because the game's release was delayed so long when the engine was made, the best video card there was was the radeon 9800 the minimum requirement is 700mhz 128mb ram and a tnt2 graphics card it's a much much less demanding game than doom3

No, ur wrong. The minumum is 1.2Ghz, 256Ram, DX7 GFX card, Windows 98/ME

Bitboy, the only thing holding your system back is your video card. Other than that, HL2 definetly runs better than Doom 3. gotta get back to playing HL2 now. CYA!
